Your luxury primate safari begins with a morning pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala. You will drive west through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing tea plantations, traditional villages, and rolling hills.

You will stop for lunch in Fort Portal, one of the most scenic towns in Uganda, before continuing to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of East Africa.

After arrival, check in at your luxury lodge and relax while enjoying views of the forest.

After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before starting chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. This rainforest is home to the largest population of chimpanzees in Uganda, along with several other primate species.

The trek may take a few hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees, but once found, you will spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat.

After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the scenic crater lakes region, arriving in the evening at your luxury lodge.

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you may see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and many bird species.

After breakfast, begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, traveling through the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions (depending on route and time).

Arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon and check in at your luxury lodge located near the gorilla trekking sector.

This is the highlight of your luxury primate safari. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before starting the gorilla trek.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and trekking through the dense forest to find them is an unforgettable experience.

The trek can take from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family location. Once found, you will spend one hour with the gorillas, observing their behavior and taking photos.

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Entebbe. You will drive through beautiful countryside with a stop at the Equator for photos and lunch.

You will then continue to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your 5 Days Luxury Primate Trek Safari in Uganda.
