We're based in Uganda, we hold direct UWA permit allocations, and every itinerary we build is planned by people who've done the trek themselves.
Most luxury safari bookings for Uganda are handled by agents outside the country, reselling permits and lodge inventory they don't control. We built Travelmonke — Uganda Tourism Board-licensed (UTB/RTT/TT/2025/101816) — to close that gap. Travelmonke has built its reputation over years of guiding classic and custom safaris across Uganda; this site is where that same ground team, permit access, and guiding expertise is focused specifically on the luxury end of that experience.

Conservation
A portion of every safari we book supports community programmes around Bwindi and Mgahinga, including the Batwa community initiatives covered in our Batwa Community Experience guide. Gorilla permit revenue itself already funds the majority of Uganda's conservation and anti-poaching work — we go further by directing operator-level partnerships toward the same communities our guests visit.
