Travel in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle with a professional guide while staying in some of Uganda’s finest luxury lodges, each selected for comfort, location, and exceptional hospitality. This itinerary is ideal for travelers seeking a premium Uganda safari experience with diverse wildlife, primates, and breathtaking scenery in one trip.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your luxury hotel for relaxation after your flight. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy a sunset by Lake Victoria or a short city tour around Entebbe.
After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most famous park. Enjoy scenic views of rural Uganda, local markets, and the Nile River. Visit the top of Murchison Falls where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge creating a powerful waterfall. Continue to your luxury lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Start the day with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. Return to the lodge for lunch before heading for an afternoon boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda. Expect hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species.
After breakfast, drive south-west through scenic countryside toward Kibale Forest, known as the primate capital of the world. The journey offers beautiful views of tea plantations and crater lakes. Arrive at your luxury lodge in the afternoon and relax before dinner.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing before entering the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale is home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa, and you may also see colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and many bird species.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, famous for birds, monkeys, and community tourism experiences.
Today you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s best wildlife destinations. The journey passes through the beautiful crater lakes region with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will see hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and many birds at close range.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly leopards. Later, drive to the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting in fig trees.
Arrive at your luxury lodge near Bwindi in the afternoon and relax before the next day’s adventure.
After early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing before starting gorilla trekking.
The trek may take 1–6 hours depending on the gorilla family location. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants.
Return to the lodge for relaxation, spa, or optional cultural visit.
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a domestic flight back to Entebbe, or drive back depending on schedule.
Gorilla trekking requires moderate fitness as the walk can take 1–4 hours in forest terrain, but guides adjust pace to suit all travelers.
The best time is during the dry seasons from June to September and December to February, when trekking conditions are easier.
